Thanks to Gavin Bennett, an ESM eighth-grade student who took a leadership role and ran a Thanksgiving food collection for Helping Makes U Happy, we are off to a good start!
We will also be accepting nonperishable Thanksgiving food donations at our Oct. 18 Mega auction at CMHS. If you bring a donation, you receive a free entry for a chance to win one of two special baskets—one entry per person, please.
We are still hard at work on our auction and will gladly accept any prize donations you may have. This auction raises the funds we use for helping in so many ways, all throughout the year, and we appreciate your support so much. Please text or call 631-848-9008 if you wish to donate or have any questions.
This month, we also will be supporting our friends at Stepping Stone Support at their fundraiser Oct. 10 to benefit local families affected by cancer. Oct. 10 also begins homecoming in Center Moriches—always an exciting time.
On Oct. 19, we will be supporting the second annual Pumpkin Fun Run, which supports Unified Sports and the National Honor Society. On Oct. 25, we’ll be participating in Caitlyn’s Vision’s/Mastic Fire Department Trunk-or-Treat from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mastic Fire Department.
We’ve also been happily supporting the Girl Scout Gold project (Lulu Romaine) and Silver Project (Lily Glubiak).
There are so many ways to help in our wonderful communities—and isn’t that what it’s really all about? Oh... and did I mention that Halloween is someone special’s 45th birthday?
Happy birthday to me!
