The CM Noel S. Ruiz Theatre hosted an outdoor festival this Sunday, July 17, as part of their ongoing celebrations for the 35th anniversary of the venue.
The day was filled with musical performances and local food vendors, like Bohemia’s own Island Empanada, which had over half a dozen types of empanadas.
“I love doing our shows and events at the theatre, but I also love our community events! It is a different way for patrons to come out and enjoy so much local talent while supporting local business! We need more events that bring us together to enjoy each other’s company, enjoy the beautiful summer weather here on Long Island, and support the arts,” said theater director Alyse Arpino.
“We are so fortunate to live on Long Island, where we have such beautiful summers! Let’s enjoy it with amazing music and Long Island talent! We are a community theatre. I think it’s so important to be present to our community! We came together and partnered with some great good trucks as well! We had such a great time; we are already planning the next one for October!” said Arpino.
