Thanks for all the stories!

Journalist Linda Leuzzi was recognized last week at Bayport-Blue Point’s Library Board meeting for her detailed, continuing stories about the library’s plans to move from its former Blue Point Avenue location, the dynamics of the former St. Ursula Center purchase, its approval and renovations, and ultimately the library’s official opening last December.

Leuzzi was recognized for her fair reporting and for keeping the story in the forefront. She was humorously presented with a symbolic Lifetime Library Card as a True Community Hero. Leuzzi, who is holding her “card,” is flanked by (far left) board president Ron Devine, the entire library board, and (far right) library director Mike Firestone.
