Milwaukee Brewers minor leaguer and former Patchogue-Medford High School baseball star Josh Knoth underwent offseason Tommy John surgery in January, a spokesman for the Milwaukee Brewers said.

Knoth will be out for the 2025 season, according to a post on X by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel beat writer Curt Hogg.

Knoth, who graduated from Pat-Med in 2023, was the 33rd pick in the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.

A right-hander, Knoth pitched last season for the Carolina Mudcats, the Brewers’ Single-A affiliate in the Carolina League. He went 4-6 in 21 starts with a 4.48 earned-run average. Knoth pitched 84.1 innings and led the team with 96 strikeouts.

At Pat-Med, Knoth twice received the Carl Yastrzemski Award as Suffolk County’s top high school baseball player.
