Suffolk County police arrested a Bay Shore man for attacking another man while walking on a Bay Shore street on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
A man was walking on Main Street, near Third Avenue, when a man struck him in the head with a metal object and fled the scene at approximately 6:50 p.m.
The victim, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Following an investigation by Third Squad detectives, Ricardo Siguenza, 32, was charged with assault 2nd degree. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court today.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
