The Harbor Crab Co. recently hosted their 21st annual Kris Kringle Surf & Turf Classic. According to organizers, the weather was perfect and about 160 golfers participated as well as nearly 200 people for dinner.
This year’s honoree, Swezey Fuel, is a community-leading family business whose recognition is long overdue!
Since the very first year of Kris Kringle, Gary Zanazzi and Bruce Fuhrmann have gone above and beyond in generosity. From the start, they immediately offered to donate heating oil to any families Kris Kringle was helping—a tradition of giving that has continued for all 21 years.
Along with their sons, Michael Zanazzi and Kent Fuhrmann, this multigenerational business has supported the Kris Kringle movement with fuel, sponsorships, and hands-on participation. Their example proves that Swezey Fuel truly understands the meaning of “it takes a village” and shows how giving back strengthens the entire community.
Last year, they raised over $170,000 for 21 families with different situations. Their lives were changed not just for the holidays, but forever.
