Beginning Thursday, Sept. 26, Women Sharing Art Inc.’s autumn fine art exhibition, titled “Impressions of Nature,” will be on display at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.

In a longtime friendship between the two pillars of the community, this is the seventh multimedia exhibition of Women Sharing Art to be held at the arboretum.

Women Sharing Art Inc., a professional artists association, “helps [members] pursue and promote their artistic passions,” according to president, Sue Miller.

The 36 members of the organization are “multitalented women who possess a common bond as female artists sharing and exploring their artistic energies,” said Miller.

The media used by the three-dozen members included mosaics, fused and stained glass, jewelry, textiles, pottery, photography, water, acrylic and oil paintings and other mixed media.

“Inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature and [offering] a captivating and aesthetic experience, it’s perfect for art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and those with a curiosity for the unexpected. The exhibit immerses visitors in a dynamic celebration of the natural world, encouraging them to see familiar environments in new and imaginative ways,” said the organization in a statement.

“Showcasing the work of our members is always a proud moment for me. I never tire of the preparations for a show, of which there are many,” said Miller. “It’s astonishing how, in the 17 years since our beginning, we’ve grown to be a consistently professional art presence on Long Island.”

The exhibit is on view at the arboretum from Sept. 26 through Oct. 20, Thursday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a number of pieces available for purchase via check or PayPal.
