On Sunday, March 10, the Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce’s 34th annual St. Patrick’s parade was held on what turned out to be sunny day after earlier forecasts predicted rain and threatened to reschedule the parade.

Grand marshal Ronnie Devine led the parade with smiles for all the spectators.

As is tradition, the parade started on Montauk Highway and Snedecor Avenue in Bayport and ended at Montauk Highway and Blue Point Avenue in Blue Point, where eventgoers were invited to Cavanaugh’s for a continued celebration.

Suffolk County police had sent out a press release warning of road closures two hours before the start of the parade at 9 a.m.

Among chamber businesses that marched were The Bayport-Blue Point Heritage Association, The Bayport Civic Association, The Blue Point Civic Association, Momo’s Too, Bryn Elliott of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Little Angels Speech Therapy Center, Bayport Flower Houses, Tiny Tots Learning Center, Fontana Concrete, Releve Dance Center, Therm-a-Trol, and The Fish Store.
