A parking lot on N. Main Street, adjacent to the Sayville Plaza, has been closed off since Monday, April 1. The Town of Islip used to lease the property in order to provide extra parking spaces for Main Street businesses. But, a little over a year ago, the town stopped doing so explaining that the owner’s property taxes were in arrears.
