Donations for our holiday greeting funding have just begun. And this year you can donate by mailing a standard check or calling us at 631-475-1000 with a debit or credit card over the phone.
Thus far, we have collected a little over $400 compared to last year’s total $1,200. Each year we donate to the Greater Sayville Food Pantry (featured on our front page), a deserving cause. They serve over 200 families throughout the year and are in desperate need during the colder winter months.
“We love doing this every year. The Sayville Food Pantry is always in need of donations this time of year due to the amount of people they generously serve,” said Suffolk County News publisher Terry Tuthill, eager to continue the yearly tradition. “As a community paper, we are committed to the community we serve.”
Please make checks payable to The Holiday Greeting Fund and mail them to The Suffolk County News, 20 Medford Avenue, Patchogue, NY 11772. Don’t forget to include your personalized greeting that will be featured in the paper on the editorial page, weekly throughout the season.
However much we collect will be presented to the pantry come the New Year and featured on a future front-page announcement. Thank you for your consideration and kind hearts, and have a happy and safe holiday season.
