With the Roosevelts’ and robber barons’ country homes as mainstays in the histories of our communities, the “old money” or “quiet luxury” aesthetic from TikTok is a bit late to the party for residents of Oakdale, Sayville, Bayport, and Blue Point, who have been sporting boating loafers (no socks) in the winter for generations.
